The Author - Jacyee Aniagolu Johnson
Jacyee Aniagolu-Johnson was born in Nigeria, Africa. Her parents are Justice Anthony Nnaemezie Aniagolu and Mrs. Chinyelu Aniagolu; her father is a retired Justice of the Nigerian Supreme Court. She has four sisters and five brothers from the same parents. She now resides in Laurel, Maryland.

She is a United States trained scientist who holds a Bachelors degree in Zoology from the University of Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, a Masters degree in Zoology from the Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, and a doctorate degree in Microbiology from Howard University, Washington DC. Her professional career has spanned teaching, scientific research, technical consulting for the United Nations Development Program, HIV research, clinical research work in biotechnology, and currently in the pharmaceutical industry.

Jacyee Aniagolu-Johnson has great passion for writing fiction, non-fiction and inspirational Christian work. She is also an "Inspirational column writer of 'Our Spirit Within' for the African Weekender Magazine (www.africanweekender.com)" She has a natural motivational and inspirational gift that reaches the hearts of hurting and under achieving women and men, redirecting them to their spirit within to draw victorious strength from God our Creator.

The unique writing, motivational and inspirational talent of Jacyee Aniagolu-Johnson is fully expressed in "Mikela: Memoirs of a Maasai Woman", which is her first published fiction work. "Mikela" was inspired by the author’s cultural and medical knowledge of female circumcision, and the human devastation being caused by prostitution and HIV in Africa. This new and emerging writer Jacyee Aniagolu-Johnson is dedicated to uplifting the lives of young men and women, especially those who are down trodden or who have lost hope and strength for a brighter tomorrow. She plans to eventually transition into a full-time writer.
